Ariel is from the community of Nueva Esperanza and Claudio is from Samarkanda, they are united by the variety of their coffee and the care they take of their respective lots. Ariel works on the land of his mother and he pulps his coffee at his neighbor´s place, who in turn he helps with his labor. Claudio is an 80 year old indigenous leader who learned to read and write in the radio schools of the 1970s and then taught others to read and write; he is a founder of cooperatives and of the Community Social Enterprise. A characteristic of both producers is that no matter who they sell their coffee to, they take great care of it. In their communications they are known for being “as careful with their coffee as with their lives.” Their coffee is a testimony to quality and lives dedicated to teaching others.
